Deals of the day!

Here are my finding from today's garage sales

This morning sweet Mr. Steady agreed to watch 4 kiddos (3 of which are his own, so no biggie), all so I could garage sale with my sweet friend D!  We came across a few good deals...

$.25 each easy reader books, H is just about ready for these!
$.50 cute basket

$2.00 Beach umbrella!!!

$2.00 Beach bag, maybe not the screaming deal of the day, but is was really cute and I could just picture throwing in some toys and beach towels and hitting the beach or pool!

$60.00 Shabby Chic Bed for Bug!! (Headboard, footboard and side rails) I have been trying to figure out what to do for a bed for Bug when we get in our new house.  This one is perfect!  Not only is it super cute, but the lady that I bought it from had it custom made so it would be tall enough for a trundle to fit under!!  And it even matches her dresser!
Love me some garage sales!!

Steals of the day!

Today was the MOTHER of all garage sales for our area, and I had a grand time searching for deals, not only for myself, but for my friend and her sisters!  I was out the door by 6:15am. Yikes, early for a Saturday, but so worth it!!!

$2.00
My solo item for Mr. Steady- a Quicksilver jacket, fits perfect and he loves it!  I should have bought a few more things for my man at this sale, but the guy wouldn't budge on the price... well and that is no fun : )

$.25
StarWars Puzzle for H.   He was super excited for a new 100 piece puzzle (his current level)

$2.00
Hooked on Spanish-  I have been looking for some kind of spanish program to do with H this summer and next year as part of his school time.  It is a computer program, which H will love as that boy can't get enough "screen time."

$5.50
5 pairs of kids shoes, but all in perfect condition!  $2.00 for the black/ flame All Stars (Converse) , $1.00 for the brown All Stars, $.50 for the gray All Stars. $1.00 for the Puma, and $1.00 for Quicksilver flips!

$6.00
Scooter for my sweet Bug (and gender neutral, so someday for B-man).  I saw this at one garage sale early in the morning for $20.00.  And I seriously considered it, but decided that was too much.  Patience paid off, I found it at another sale for so much less!  Bug LOVED it!!
$3.00
Helmet for B-man, though, Bug thought it was pretty cool and wanted to wear it on her scooter ride.

$10.00
Pottery Barn Full/ Queen Car quilt!  It was marked at such a great price, that I didn't even negotiate at all!  This will be perfect for one of the boys!

$3.00
Booster seat for Bug at the table!  I have been on the look out for one of these for the last few years!  And a black one non-the-less, which matches our table!  (Retails for $36- $43)

$10.00
Table and 4 chairs.  I might someday change the color, but I love the shape, size and sturdiness of the set!  Great space for puzzles, crafts or even school work!

My personal favorite deals of the day...

$50.00
Sounds like a lot for a garage sale purchase.... 5 pairs of designer jeans (2 pair of Sevens, 3 pairs of Joes)... for just TEN bucks each!  Steal, I am telling you : )  Each one retails for well over $100!  And not only were they a great deal, but they are the PERFECT fit, short little legs and all!  I couldn't have bought these jeans off the rack that would fit me so well!  Woooo Hooo!

FREE
An awesome, cozy Banana Republic sweater.  The lady that sold me the jeans threw it in for free : )

**********
There were a few other purchases made today, some for friends... so give me your wish list for next time.  I can be your personal shopper, or garage sale assistant if you want to go together : )

$32... well spent

This morning my friend Kathy and I hit the absolute jackpot at a local neighborhood garage sale.  It was so much fun to say the least.  I think that finding deals at garage sales is a slight addiction for me.  I haven't gone to a garage sale since last summer, I almost forgot how much fun can be had at the crack of dawn on a Saturday morning.

$1- Dinosaurs for H

$5- Change Pad and Cover (probably could have asked for a little less, but it was the first purchase of the day and I was just so excited to find something on my list.  Bug and Baby#3 will both be in diapers for a while so I want both of their rooms set with all needed changing items.)

$5- set of 4 baskets with liners- for the nursery

$5- Purse- again, probably could have tried to get it for lesss

$3- Baby Clothes for our little surprise baby (due in less than 10 weeks with our girl or boy)

$1.50- 2 books and 3 puzzles (sorry no picture)
$2- Spotless Diaper Champ for new baby

Steal of the day
There was a bin of clothes that said "Maternity Clothes- $8".  When I first saw it I thought $8 per item, and heck, I only have a little over 2 months left, do I really want to spend more money on maternity clothes?  Well, I was quite shocked to find out the entire bin was only $8 and most of the clothes were my size.  I pried open the lid and decided to look inside.  To my complete surprise there were a ton of cute items and some designer jeans.  So I asked the lady how much, and she said, "$8 for the whole bin."  So I said "Sold!!"
Here is what was inside:
3- Pairs of Jeans
7- Pairs of other pants
3- Pairs of Capri pants
3- Sweaters
1- Shorts
3- Skirts
20- Shirts (not a typo, 20 shirts!)

All for $8 total!!!  $8 is well worth a new wardrobe for the next 2 months, but beyond that when I am done with it, I will be selling some of the items and making a little more money for Saturday morning fun!
Some of my Favorites
I just looked it up online and both of these jeans retail for between $160 and $210!  Seriously, can you see my perma-grin at my amazing deals?

She also had some cute non-maternity items, that I got.  I already got a steal of a deal, so I paid a little more for these.

$5- Skirt and Sevens Capris

This was one of the shirts that I got in the $8 bin.  I thought it was so cute, I put it on as soon as I got home and we headed down to the beach to play as a family with our dear friends that were in town.
Ahh, what a great Saturday!  Anyone want any cute maternity clothes come mid summer???
